DECEMBER 14, 2017 - Today, Vertagear announces a special partnership with one of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s premier leagues, the Esports Championship Series (ECS). With this partnership, Vertagear becomes the official gaming chair sponsor of the league that was created by FACEIT, the leading competitive platform for online multiplayer games. Vertagear will provide the competition with premium gaming chairs for the next five seasons.
ECS, which is also backed by YouTube Gaming, is now entering the finals of its fourth season and remains one of the most competitive leagues to date. ECS will host its Season 4 finals in Cancun this coming weekend, with the event set to start on Friday, December 15th.
The finals will pit four teams from Europe and four teams from North America against each other for a prize pool of $750,000. Representing Europe will be Fnatic, FaZe Clan, Astralis, and mousesports, while North America’s qualified teams include Cloud9, OpTic Gaming, Team Liquid, and Luminosity Gaming. The event spans three days with the winner to be decided on Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel.
